A beautiful Fall Day..........Quilting!!

Hello everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today to see what has been happening down my path!

I joined a Quilt-A-Long over at From My Caroline Home, it is a fall design type quilt-a-long and is the first one that I've ever had the time to participate in.  It is so much fun!!!

The first week Carole had us making leave blocks.  Then, this past week was pumpkin blocks and I put together this table topper.  So very cute!  Not sure what Friday's block will be, but I'm sure it will be fun as well.

Here is a picture of my table topper...........
First Quilt-A-Long Table Topper

Gobble Til You Wobble Fabric !!!

I had a lot of fun doing these blocks.  Mine were slightly bigger than what we were to do because I already had the diagonal halves already cut out for a would be future project, but they worked perfectly for this!

I ended up making more pumpkins at the center today since I still have no fabric from the director to finish off my Trip Around The World quilt.

What a perfect fall day today is!!  It is about 70 degrees and this will be the last nice day for us I'm afraid.  Still no frost yet, so I'm still hoping for an Indian Summer later this month or next!  Wouldn't it be great to have wonderful weather still in November!!

Next Monday at the center in my drawing class we are doing "Leaves in Pastels."  Sounds interesting enough!!

This is the scenery I saw yesterday on the way to the center.  Behind these trees and behind where I am shooting this phote is Pymatuning Lake.  It is so beautiful this time of year here in NW PA.

This is where the "Ducks Walk on the Fish Backs!"  Really they do.......................

Underneath these mallards are plenty of carp and you can stand along that railing and feed them bread.  They go mad over it............................but, you have to keep the seagulls away!

It is the second biggest attraction in PA after Gettysburg!

So if you are every in NW PA, Linesville PA, this is what you want to see for sure.

That's it for this time around!  Talk to you again next Thursday.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs, Debbie

  1. Love your table topper, and the turkey fabric is over the top cute. We have mallard ducks in our little lake here in Weaverville and they are so friendly. Last week on my walk a little guy decided to walk with me - talk about precious! We had quite a conversation too.

    Happy Thursday.

    1. Thank you, Joyce. I just love all the wildlife where I live. I've been amused lately by the squirrels and chipmunks in my yard running around with acorns in their little cheeks. The squirrels are burying them in my yard. They dig a spot and in it goes. The little chipmunks are storing them in all the holes they've dug all over the place. Have a great werkend, Joyce and Prudence!!
