Almost Autumn - My Favorite Season

In a few days, Autumn will be here, my favorite time of year.  The leaves are just now changing on certain types of trees and the sun glistening on the wet morning leaves show the brilliance of color.  I only noticed it yesterday on my morning trip across the lake in the early morning sun.  So beautiful.

All this talk of Autumn, I promised not to decorate for Fall until it actually was Fall, but I gave in a little when I found my Fall flowers, so I decided to do two arrangements for our bedroom tables.  Take a look.......

I especially like this one, so simple.
Love the fall colors and the raffia gives it a real Fall flavor.

This blog wouldn't be complete if I didn't share a picture of Macy Kate from this morning.  She's just so darn cute, I can't resist a picture and finally I took a picture without red-eye!!  That's a challenge for me!!!  So here she is:

She actually posed, that's a first.  She is always camera shy.

Here's hoping you have a wonderful day and weekend!

I have no idea why half of this post's text is underlined, I've tried to remove it, and it won't go.  Someday I'll figure this dang thing out!!

  1. Hi Miss Debbie,

Your post looks great, no underlining that we can see. Oh, Macy Kate is so precious.

Well, our fall decorations are all packed, we aren't really disappointed, just excited about moving. We will just enjoy looking at pictures of friends decorations. Yours are so pretty, can't wait to see more.

    Heaps of Hugs
    Prudence ♥

    1. Thank you, Prudence. I bet you are excited about the move. I loved moving to the country, I was raised in the country, so peaceful when fall and winter comes, none of the weekenders come up much after school begins. Hip Hip Hooray!!!! Have a wonderful weekend and I'll post more of my decorations in a later post.

  2. Hi Debbie. Love the flower arrangements. They look great. I've been off all week and I thought about doing some cleaning but that's about as far as I got.

    1. My cleaning comes in spurts. I get this little, I don't know what you call it, have to clean idea in my head and I'm off. I mean every nook and cranny gets cleaned. It's a long process, and I'm beat afterwards, but it is so gratifying to see the progress and have a beautiful cleaned room. So, I got two rooms done now, from top to bottom. I don't want to think about the rest right now. Perhaps today I'll get another one done, or maybe not!!! Have a good Sunday!! Looking forward to Shakerwoods in a few weeks!!
